PUNJAB SMALL TRADERS BOARD SEEKS EXEMPTION IN VAT REGISTRATION LIMIT UPTO Rs 10 LAC

The Punjab Small Traders Board today sought Rs 10 lac Value Added Tax (VAT) exemption for both manufacturers and retailers under Punjab VAT Act. Holding a meeting with Financial Commissioner S. S. Brar and Excise and Taxation Commissioner Mr A. Venu Prasad, delegation of Small Traders Board, Board members also passed a resolution seeking proper sitting arrangements in the offices of Excise and Taxation for traders, to authorise more banks for the purpose of e-payment, relaxation from quarterly tax to dealers paying lump sum tax, ensuring minimum three year deployment for officers of Excise and Taxation department at one place besides appropriate arrangements of drinking water for traders in all Excise and Taxation offices. Speaking on the occasion Baba Ajit Singh said that the Board will ensure more effective tax collection mechanism with proper respect to tax payers. Mr. A.Venu Prasad assured traders to extended possible cooperation to ensure smooth functioning of the department. Share |
